GEAUGA SWEET STRINGS
Making Sweet Music
Geauga Sweet Strings is a dulcimer band located in Chardon, Ohio. We play a variety of music for venues all around the area throughout the year.
We welcome all newcomers as our band members are at all stages of learning their instruments! If you are interested in joining our merry band please contact us through our contact page.
Fun Fact: The word ‘Geauga’ actually originated from the language of the Onondaga or Seneca tribes’ word for a raccoon
The members of The Geauga Sweet Strings do not merely consist of dulcimer players. Our current members play a variety of instruments including the mountain dulcimer, the hammered dulcimer, the mandolin, violin, and the guitar! If you play a string instrument, we invite you to join us.
We practice at the the Chardon Senior Center every Tuesday from 2:00 to 3:30. The address is as follows:12555 Ravenwood Drive, behind the UH Hospital on 44.
We would love to add new members into the band regardless of current skill level on your instrument of choice. We provide the music for practice and work slowly through each piece in order to accommodate all degrees of musical experience. The list of venues and dates that we play at throughout the year is located on the Schedule page!
